FAQ
Have a question and don't see the answer below? Click here to chat with an LED expert.
- What light color should I choose?
- Warm White is equivalent to a standard incandescent light color and is most popular for residential applications. It has a slight warm yellow glow to it that many people find comfortable and we are all used to seeing in our homes. It is a 2700-3000K on the Kelvin Light Color Scale.
DayWhite™ most closely replicates natural daylight and does have a slight blue hue to the light output. This is rarely seen in residential applications as the light output can seem a bit harsh and bright, and is most commonly seen in exterior or commercial applications. This is the brightest of the White light color options. It is a 5500-6000K on the Kelvin Light Color Scale.

Choosing a color
White Light
Warm White

Warm White is most popular light color for residential applications and has a bit of a gentle/soft warmth/yellowish hue to it. Warm white is the same color as a standard incandescent light bulb, which is 2700-3000K.
Cool White

Cool white (also referred to as Neutral White) is popular for commercial (office/hospital/medical/municipal) applications. It is also very popular in modern-style residential projects. Cool white is a very pure white, it doesn't really have any yellowish or blueish hue. Cool white is the same color as most fluorescent light bulbs, which is 4000-4300K.
Day White (Daylight White)

DayWhite TM is the brightest LED light color that we offer and is popular in industrial and other applications where a high color temperature and high brightness is desired. DayWhite is an ultra-pure white, with a bit of a blue-ish hue, designed to mimic the color of natural sunlight. It is the same color as metal halide bulbs, which is 6000K.
Colored Light
If you're looking for a specific color of light output, we also offer a variety of colored LEDs, including: Blue, Green, Red and Yellow.

Choosing the right lens
Clear Lens
A clear lens will give you the greatest light output from your LED lamp, but you won't have any diffusion of the lights. Clear lenses are the most popular choice.
Frosted Lens
A frosted lens nicely diffuses the light from your LED lamp, but you'll lose a bit of brightness.

Choosing a Base Type
E26 / E27
This is also called a "Medium Base" and is the size you think of when you imagine a standard light bulb socket. The 26 denotes the diameter (in milimeters) of the screw-in part of the bulb.
E14
This is also called a "Mini or Candelabra Base" and uses a smaller bulb socket, similar to what you see on many chandaliers. The 14 denotes the diameter (in milimeters) of the screw-in part of the bulb.
