Metro Mold Design is a contract manufacturing company in the medical industry. As part of a large scale expansion of one of their Minneapolis office and manufacturing facilities, they were looking for a linear style light fixture to be surface mounted facing up and shining light in 3 directions to run the length of the new expansion. Surprisingly, they found nothing already on the market that was what they were looking for.

They turned to us and we quickly worked to design a box section of channel in which to place our flexible LED strip light. Unlike most of our channel options, this was taller and the lens covered all 3 visible sides allowing for multi-directional light. We used a special type of diffusing material which allowed us to spread light evenly around the 3 sides while not showing individual LED chips, creating an almost neon-type look.
