What comes in the Cove Lighting kit?

Everything you need for a complete cove lighting installation, without the guesswork. The kit includes RGBW Endless LED Strip Light, power supply, Casambi In-Wall Dimmer Switch, and Casambi Wireless DMX Bluetooth Controller, plus all necessary wire and connectors. Each component is carefully matched and tested to work as a complete system, so there’s no sizing math, separate sourcing, or compatibility concerns.

Do I need to buy anything else?

No. This is a complete, all-in-one cove lighting system. The strip light, dimmer switch, power supply, controller, and connectors are all included and matched to work together. The only thing you need to provide is a powered outlet at the installation location. This kit does NOT include mounting channels.

Can I cut the strip light?

Yes. The strip light can be cut at the marked cut points. Look for the scissors icon printed on the strip and cut directly along the indicated line. Use sharp scissors and make a clean, straight cut perpendicular to the strip. Cutting outside the marked point or at an angle can damage the strip and cause the remaining section to stop working properly.

Can I make the kit longer?

No. Each included strip light has a maximum run length of 32.4 feet when used with the included power supply. The 64-foot kit includes two separate 32.4-foot reels, while the 98-foot kit includes three separate 32.4-foot reels. The strip lights cannot be connected together to create one continuous run. Instead, each strip must be connected separately to the power supply using the included low-voltage, in-wall-rated wire. If the included 30 feet of wire is not sufficient for your installation, consult a licensed electrician to determine the appropriate wire size and installation requirements for your project.

Is the kit dimmable?

Yes. The kit includes a DMX Casambi Bluetooth controller, giving you full wireless dimming control right out of the box. Use the free Casambi app to adjust brightness, save lighting scenes, set schedules, and group multiple lighting zones. Casambi operates through Bluetooth, so no Wi-Fi or hub is required. Dimming is especially useful for cove lighting, allowing you to adjust the light output throughout the day, from brighter daytime illumination to a softer evening glow.

Can this replace my ceiling lights?

No. Cove lighting is designed as accent lighting and is not intended or rated to serve as a room’s primary or general light source. It should be used to complement overhead fixtures, not replace them.
