Elevator lighting has to be compact. With fairly low ceilings, recessed lights are popular, but there isn't much extra space to fit them, so space is critical. Incandescent lights generated heat which compromised their installation, but also contributed to the heat level inside the elevator cab, increasing the needed ventilation. Fortunately, LEDs generate much less heat and our products all have custom designed heat sinks to disperse the heat they do generate efficiently.
