Tools You’ll Need
  • Flathead screwdriver (for carefully prying the faceplate and tightening terminal screws)
  • Wire strippers
  • Appropriate gauge copper wiring
Products You’ll Need
Before You Begin

Always review proper safety protocols before starting any electrical work. Remember S.A.F.E.T.Y..

S: Shut off power.

A: Ask a licensed electrician if needed.

F: Follow NEC guidelines.

E: Equip yourself with proper PPE.

T: Treat the wires as live.

Y: You are responsible.

Important Considerations:

  • DO NOT install with power applied to the device.
  • DO NOT expose the device to moisture; this product is intended for dry locations.
  • Always consult a wire gauge chart to determine the correct size wire for your application, factoring in voltage drop and amperage. Incorrect wire selection could overheat systems and cause a fire.

Function Introduction

RF (Radio Frequency) Installation Instructions

1. Disconnect Power: Turn off power at the breaker.

2. Open Controller: Carefully remove the glass faceplate of the controller from the back body by gently prying at the slots on the rear side with a screwdriver.

3. Power the Controller: Run low voltage wire from your power supply and insert the positive and negative wires into the DC Power Input (+ and -) terminals on the back of the wall controller. Tighten the terminal screws.

4. Mount: Screw the controller back body into the wall box, and securely pop the glass front plate back on.

5. Wire the Receiver: Wire your RGBCCT strip light to your RF receiver and connect the receiver to its power supply.

6. Power On: Turn on the power. Touch the power button on the wall controller to turn it on; the indicator will turn blue.

7. Initiate Pairing: Click the "Learning Key" button on the RF receiver, or re-power the receiver three times continuously to set it into pairing status.

8. Finalize Pairing: Immediately touch the color slider on the wall controller. The LED lights connected to the receiver will flicker once, meaning the receiver is successfully paired.

DMX Installation Instructions

1. Disconnect Power: Turn off power at the breaker.

2. Open Controller: Remove the faceplate from the controller body.

3. Power the Controller: Connect the 12-24VDC power supply wires to the DC Power Input terminals on the back of the wall controller.

4. Run DMX Signal: Connect the DMX signal wires to the D+, D-, and GND terminals on the back of the wall controller and run them to your 5-Channel DMX Decoder.

5. Wire the Decoder: Wire the RGBCCT strip light to the corresponding output channels on the DMX Decoder (CW, WW, B, G, R, V+).

6. Mount: Screw the controller into the wall box and pop the front plate back on.

7. Set DMX Address: Set your DMX decoder's address to 001. Note that a single DMX decoder has 5 channels, so it will occupy addresses 001, 002, 003, 004, and 005.

8. Power On: Restore power and test the controls.

Troubleshooting

The lights won't turn on.

You may have a poor connection or reversed polarity at the power supply or wall controller. Try reinserting or swapping the positive and negative wires. Also, ensure your 12VDC or 24VDC power supply is turned on.

My controller won't pair with the RF receiver.

Make sure you are touching the color slider immediately after pressing the learning key. If it still does not pair, try clearing the memory of the receiver by pressing and holding the learning key for 5-10 seconds, then restart the pairing process.

The controller is on and paired, but some colors don't work.

You likely have a poor, insecure, or incorrect connection between the light fixtures and the receiver on the specific color channel that is failing.
